A Message From Our New York Director
Dear Partners, Colleagues and Friends,

I hope this email finds you all healthy and vaccinated! In my wildest dreams, I never thought I would be writing a salutation with those words, but we continue to find ourselves in uncharted territory.

My team and I at BOI New York are starting to see signs of a return to normalcy. We are all back in the office and the phones are once again ringing. I am pleased to report that foreign direct investment into Thailand is strong and interest from North American companies is gaining momentum.

For those of you who follow business news coming out of Thailand, you know that we have had a number of exciting announcements focusing on innovation, such as the development and pending launch of the first Thai made satellite. Technology and innovation are at the forefront of our economy, and where our private sector, government, workforce training and our universities partner and collaborate on the technologies of tomorrow.

On May 13th at 11:00 EDT, we will be hosting a webinar, that I would personally like to invite you to attend. It is focused on investment opportunities and Thailand's Innovation Ecosystem. Another important announcement I would like to share is a date change for SUBCON 2021. The BOI and our partners have decided to push the dates of the exhibition back until September 22-25. SUBCON is one of our landmark events focusing on manufacturing matchmaking with Thai companies. The exhibition and matchmaking event will be available both in person and virtually in the fall. If you are interested in doing business in Asia or looking for a manufacturing partner, SUBCON is an excellent way to connect with Thai companies.

On September 22-25, SUBCON Thailand, the ASEAN region's most important industrial subcontracting and matchmaking exhibition will be taking place in Bangkok at the Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Center (BITEC).
Please Note: Due to the pandemic, the dates of the exhibition have been pushed back to September.
