From July 9-12, 2024, Mr. Nanthapol Sudbanthad, Director of the BOI New York Office, joined the Team Thailand delegation led by Mr. Threetep Nopkhun, Minister Counsellor of the Royal Thai Embassy in Lima, Peru, along with representatives from the Royal Thai Embassy in Lima, and the Federal of Thai Industries, to promote economic cooperation between Thailand and Colombia.

The delegation held discussions with key stakeholders, including the Honorary Consul of Thailand in Bogota, the Vice President of the Bogota Chamber of Commerce, the Vice President of the Colombian Industry Association, the CEO of Invest in Bogota, and the Colombian private sector, including the CEO of Best Choice Company, a major importer of food ingredient products from Asia, the General Manager of AVIATUR, Colombia's largest travel agency, President of the Universitaria de Colombia. They also visited Challeger an electrical appliance company, and two Thai spa businesses in Colombia, namely BogoTHAI Massage and Baw Thai Spa.

Mr. Nanthapol provided updates on the total value of foreign direct investment (FDI) in Thailand. He also discussed various aspects related to setting up a company and the associated investment benefits and incentives in Thailand. He also highlighted Thailand’s measures for Investment Promotion under the new strategy to foster new investment, and sustainable growth and development in the region.
