During August 22-23, 2024, Mr. Nanthapol Sudbanthad, Director of the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI) New York Office, visited the state-of-the-art Homegrown Shrimp USA facilities in Indiantown, Florida, where he was warmly welcomed by Ms. Stacy Hennen, Business Office Manager, and her team. During the visit, Director Nanthapol toured the advanced shrimp hatchery, farming, and packaging operations using air blast freezers, gaining valuable insights into the dynamic and successful homegrown shrimp business.

Homegrown Shrimp USA, a subsidiary of Thailand’s C.P. Group, exemplifies the success of Thai enterprises operating in the U.S. The company specializes in vannamei shrimp production utilizing a modern, closed-system approach that prioritizes environmental sustainability. This innovative method ensures the good health of the shrimp and the consistency in its size. This reflects C.P. Group’s commitment to excellence and caring for the environment.

In addition to his visit to these facilities, Director Nanthapol met with Honorary Consul-General Ms. Maria D. Sariol to discuss future collaboration opportunities across the U.S., Latin America and Cuba, which are areas under her purview. He also asked for her support in encouraging the private sector within her network to explore investment opportunities in Thailand.

Furthermore, Director Nanthapol introduced the Long-Term Resident (LTR) visa program, aimed at attracting more business leaders to consider Thailand as a key investment destination by facilitating their entry and stay in Thailand.
