On July 15, 2026, Thailand BOI, New York Office organized a seminar to promote and encourage investment in the semiconductor industry and data center projects, held in Chicago, Illinois. The venue was generously provided by Barnes & Thornburg LLP, serving as a partner organization for the event.

On this occasion, Ms. Bacharee Phuengpak, Consul-General in Chicago, graciously delivered the opening remarks. Following this, Mrs. Cherchan Arunrat (Director of BOI, New York Office) gave a presentation on investment opportunities in Thailand, covering basic investment incentives, renewable energy, and the investment ecosystem for the semiconductor industry, advanced electronics, and data center projects. In addition, we were honored to welcome Mr. Daniel Bellefleur, Vice President of Foreign Direct Investment, Business Development, at the Illinois Economic Development Corporation (Illinois EDC), who joined as a guest speaker on the topic "Current Bilateral Economic Activities & Experience of Living in Thailand." The seminar was attended by a total of 33 participants.
